Located in the heart of East Village, the San Diego Central Library is a nine story architectural wonder that houses two levels of parking, an auditorium, a cafe and a charter school on two levels.  As expected it’s packed with books, computers and art exhibits and open to the public 7 days a week.

We typically head down to the central library and hole away on the floor designated to kids and teens.  We read a few books and attend on of the many kid oriented workshops.  Once the kids tucker out we like to visit the On View art gallery upstairs and catch a breath of fresh air on the roof.  One of the perks of being so conveniently located in Downtown San Diego is the proximity to all of the other East Village bars and eateries that are perfect for a post library snack.
